1. What is gauge? How do you convert gauge to millimeter (mm) in stainless steel industry?

Gauge is Unit of thickness of a metal sheet or wire. Gauge sizes are numbers that indicate the thickness of a piece of sheet metal, with a higher number referring to a thinner sheet. The equivalent thicknesses differ for each gauge size standard, which were developed based on the weight of the sheet for a given material.

2. What type of stainless steel do you use for the tanks?

Stainless steel grades, such as the 304 or 316 types are generally suitable for the manufacture of food processing tanks. Both 304 and 316 types are austenitic stainless steel, which is generally more weldable than the other types.

3. How do you choose the accessories?

Tank accessories can be more important than the tank itself, because they are frequently used parts. If you use cheap ones, you will find yourself annoyed by some small issues: the sample valve blocks; the manhole corrodes and pollutes the material inside; the thermometer does not read well, etc. Our principle is that we will never sacrifice quality to make prices look better. All parts subject to wear. What we do is to use the most durable and hygienic ones.

5. How do you transport large diameter tanks?

During our design process, we fully consider the transportation cost and convenience for road and ship delivery. We suggest different solutions based on different tank sizes. When capacity requirements indicate building tanks larger than shipping conditions allow, Intechwell will erect tanks at the work site.
